About Enabling the How

Our call to action at 5th Place is to focus on developing emotional fitness and mental well-being in order to create positive change in the world. Join us, Chantal and Matthew, co-owners of 5th Place, in our escapades every week as we stumble and trip, dance and whirl our way through very normal and not so normal weeks in their drive to make the world a better place. This “How” comes in many different forms and in this case it comes in the form of sharing life, loves, and loss. It’s also a whole lot of what living is like in South Africa.

Walking it off

5 June 2025

To retain the benefits and essence of our time away we go for short afternoon walks. These support and sustain us. We went for a walk through the Wits Art Museum to step between the cracks of the past

By George

A princely visit

On the road again

8 May 2025

An annual road trip starts with a stopover at a place that offers so much more than expected. We leave reflecting on our history and the forces of nature.
