PechaKucha: When is a rose not a rose

This is the title of my PechaKucha talk on beliefs. I'll be covering what beliefs are, how they are formed and how everything in our life is affected and governed by them.

This is the title of my PechaKucha talk on beliefs. I’ll be covering what beliefs are, how they are formed and how everything in our life is affected and governed by them.

When is a rose not a rose?

My talk focuses on some of the freshest thinking around beliefs and illustrates how our beliefs impact and affect all areas of our lives including our health, wealth and happiness. Everything we do in life and everything that happens to us is based on what we believe. Our beliefs govern everything we do, don’t, can’t or won’t do. I’ve included a few fun twists in the talk which should delight, surprise and maybe shock too!

Once the talk is done I’ll convert it into a video and post it here on the Mind Muscle website.

What is a PechaKucha

PechaKucha or to use the full name, PechaKucha 20×20, is a simple presentation format where you show 20 images, each for 20 seconds. The images advance automatically and you talk along to the images. The presentation format was devised by Astrid Klein and Mark Dytham of Klein Dytham architecture.

The first PechaKucha Night was held in Tokyo in February, 2003. Klein Dytham architecture still organize and support the global PechaKucha Night network and organize PechaKucha Night Tokyo.

PechaKucha Night Johannesburg

PechaKucha Johannesburg is facilitated and managed by Bronwyn and Duncan. This particular night is at the Wanderers Club in Illovo on 30 August at 19:00.

Reducing the Certainty Deficit in high-performing people and teams · Emotional fitness coach for high-functioning men

Matthew works with athletes and performance teams to reduce the Certainty Deficit, the space between what you can do and what your body will let you do when it counts. The body holds beliefs. These run deeper than self-talk and they run faster than any conscious strategy. When those beliefs shift, the ceiling shifts.

He also supports high-functioning men to develop emotional fitness so they can live and lead from a place of clarity and inner stability. The work is somatic-first, practical and grounded.

If you're seeing a pattern current approaches haven't shifted, let's talk.
